Funding the Dream: BCIF Year-End Message

A big thank you to those of you who attended our recent holiday benefit on December 7th. If the spirit, enthusiasm, and vibe of the event was any indication of what’s to come in 2025, we’re here for it! The momentum of the movement continues to grow. We’re excited about the possibilities of BCIF’s impact in the community moving forward.

Despite recent efforts to block initiatives focused on ensuring just and fair access to the American Dream, we will not cease or be deterred. We shall move onward and upward! And despite these turbulent times, we hope all of you are managing your path to find your peace, gratitude, and optimism.

BCIF is wrapping up our eighth year of impact. In addition to funding many emerging Black-owned businesses based in Southern California, we have provided formal and informal technical assistance to many entrepreneurs as well. BCIF is more than SoCal’s only zero-interest microlending nonprofit focused on emerging Black-owned businesses—we are a conduit to facilitating paths to greater opportunity for our vibrant community.

Be on the lookout for our triennial report (2022-2024) coming your way next year. We’re eager to share more details with you about BCIF’s journey, achievements, and milestones to date.

As an authentic, community-driven organization, BCIF’s capacity to generate impact needs you. In the final days of 2024, we humbly ask for you to consider making a financial gift to BCIF.
