BCIF Receives $30K Grant from Visionary Women
We are thrilled to announce that the Black Cooperative Impact Fund (BCIF) has received a $30,000 grant from Visionary Women — a social impact organization committed to driving meaningful change for women and girls. This generous investment will directly support our mission to close the racial wealth gap by fueling women-founded small and emerging businesses that are uplifting Black communities in Southern California.
Visionary Women was founded on the principle that collective action — the power of together — can move mountains. Their members show up not just for one another, but for communities whose voices have too often gone unheard. This grant reflects that commitment in the most tangible way: placing capital in the hands of women building businesses that strengthen Black communities.
For BCIF, this partnership is a natural alignment. Our interest-free microloans are designed to dismantle the systemic barriers that have historically blocked entrepreneurs from accessing the capital they need to launch, grow, and thrive. Visionary Women’s support amplifies that work — their investment doesn’t just help one business. It powers a cycle of economic mobility that grows over time.
This grant will help us:
- Expand access to capital for businesses committed to advancing economic mobility in Black communities
- Grow our microloan portfolio to reach more entrepreneurs who are ready to scale
- Deepen our community impact across Southern California’s Black business ecosystem
We are profoundly grateful to Visionary Women for recognizing the power of community-driven capital and for choosing to direct these resources toward the people who need it — and who will do extraordinary things with it. If you’re a donor or organization inspired by what Visionary Women has done and want to add your support, give to the fund. Every contribution — one-time, monthly, or annual — helps us put capital where it belongs.
Together, we are closing the racial wealth gap — one loan, one business, one vision at a time.
