Mario Holten

Mario Holten is a Lead Community Impact and Sustainability Specialist at Wells Fargo, where he champions initiatives that drive social change and economic empowerment. With nearly 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Mario brings a deep commitment to the community and sustainable growth. He holds an MBA from The University of Arizona and a BA in Economics from San Diego State University. Mario’s career at Wells Fargo began in customer-facing roles, where he excelled as a Personal Banker, Assistant Manager, and Branch Manager. He later advanced to Senior Growth and Strategy Consultant before becoming a Vice President on the Philanthropy and Community Impact team. A proud native of East Oakland, California, Mario understands the challenges faced by underserved communities. He actively gives back through volunteer work with organizations such as The Crenshaw YMCA, JVS SoCal, and Oakland Genesis, where he also serves on the board. Outside of work, Mario enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children in Los Angeles, California.
