Elizabeth “Libby” Williams

Elizabeth “Libby” Williams, who is known for her impactful approach to economic development, has focused for nearly 30 years on improving communities through meaningful economic development initiatives in Southern California. Her passion for the success of local small businesses comes from her experience in former LA City Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa’s Office of Economic & Business Policy, LAUSD’s Small Business Program, USC Center for Economic Development, the blue-ribbon Los Angeles Economy and Jobs Committee, her economic development consulting company, Williams Consulting Group, and most recently her role as COO at the Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corporation where she lead the implementation of business building, financing, training, and job creation for small businesses in South LA.

Libby began her career at Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) where she served as the Director of Community Initiatives. In this role, she was responsible for identifying opportunities and developing community economic development programs and initiatives to stimulate economic growth throughout the region. She has a BA and an MPA from California State University at Long Beach, a Masters in Leadership from the University of Southern California, and a certificate of completion from the USC Lusk Center Ross Program in Real Estate.
